Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria overcame two match points to turn around a match against the Sanchez Alayeto twins, which could have cost them the number-one ranking.

In the quarterfinals of the Barcelona Master Final, Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez made their first appearance in the competition against the number eight pairing of the tournament, the Sanchez Alayeto twins. But the debut of the world's number ones was anything but smooth.

After taking the first set in the tie break, Mapi and Majo had two balls to take the match, but the number ones reacted in time, taking the second set 7/5 to level the score at one.

In the final set, the physical discomfort of the twins, coupled with the high level shown by Ariana and Paula, tipped the balance for the number one pair, who ended up taking a match that lasted more than 3 hours.

The final result was 6/7, 7/5, and 6/3 for Sanchez and Josemaria, who got this way the pass to the semifinals of the World Padel Tour Master Final.
