Here are the first semifinalists of the WPT Master Final

Patty Llaguno and Virginia Riera became the first semifinalists of the Barcelona Master Final after beating Aranza Osoro and Victoria Iglesias in two sets, in the opening match.

The first match of the WPT Master final saw Patty Llaguno and Virginia Riera take on Aranza Osoro and Victoria Iglesias for the first time this season. 

Llaguno and Riera were ranked 7th and 8th, while Osoro and Iglesias came into the match ranked 9th in the 2022 race.

In a very tight match, Riera and Llaguno managed to strike the first blow. After a series of breaks and counter breaks, they claimed the first set to take the lead on the scoreboard. That advantage gave the pairing the impetus to break early in the second set and take the match 6/4 6/4.

Thus Llaguno and Riera became the first semifinalists of the World Padel Tour Master Final. The pair will face the winners of the match between the Sanchez Alayeto twins and the world number ones, Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria.
