Preview of the WPT Master Final: Male — team 4 and 3

ANNONS

The biggest and most prestigious event of the year on the World Padel Tour begins on Thursday. The top 16 individually ranked players from the year will battle it out to determine the season's champions in the Master Final.

In a series of articles, Padel Alto ranks and comments on the eight teams that have qualified for the Master Final on both the men's and women's sides.

This is Padel Alto's numbers 3 and 4 on the men's side.

4. Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello

World ranking: 7, 11
Race of 2022: 7, 11
Coach: Martin Echegaray

Padel Alto´s comment: Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello got together just over a month ago, but they already won their first title at the WPT Open in Mexico.

Paquito's change to the right side of the court, added to Juan Tello's more than seven years with Fede Chingotto, makes the couple have their mismatches on court. At times they seem lost, but when they find their game, they can beat anyone.

Nobody can doubt the quality of these two players, but such an important sporting project requires time and work. When the pair oil the wheels, they will undoubtedly be one of the toughest couples to face on the circuit.

3. Fernando Belasteguin and Arturo Coello

World ranking: 5, 5
Race of 2022: 5, 5
Coach: Miguel Sciorilli

Padel Alto´s comment: Bela and Coello joined paths at the beginning of the year, and the communion was perfect from the start. In the first tournament of the season, the couple won the title of champions.

Although it seems incredible with that start, the pair went from strength to strength throughout the year, having an outstanding second half of the season. They played in seven finals and won three more titles.

The Barcelona Master Final will be the last for the pair. Coello will play with Agustin Tapia next season, while Bela will play with Sanyo Gutierrez, so the couple will want to close in the best way their “last dance” together.

The draw made the pair fall on the side of Galan and Lebron, so it will be difficult for them to get past the semi-finals.
