Alex Ruiz confirms his partner for next season: "We have a very promising future ahead of us"

After an end of the season with many changes of partners within the top couples, Alex Ruiz confirmed in a commercial presentation that he will continue the project with Momo Gonzalez, despite having received the call of a top player.

Many top ten pairs came to an end with the end of the season. Between number 2 and 6 in the ranking, all the pairs have decided to change partners, trying to snatch the number one spot from Galan and Lebron. But that will not be the case for Ruiz and Gonzalez.

In a presentation of his main sponsor, Alex Ruiz confirmed to a question from Padelreview that he will continue with Momo Gonzalez in 2023.

-Next year we will continue with Momo. I think we have had an excellent year. At the beginning, we never thought we could achieve such good results so quickly. We have a very promising future ahead of us. If we work hard and have patience, we can achieve great things, although nobody knows what the future holds.

Belasteguin's call

According to rumours, when the news that Coello and Tapia would be paired up next season was confirmed, Fernando Belasteguin would have called Alex to join him in 2023.

When the Spaniard was asked about it, he said,

-For me, it would be a pride to play with Bela. He is a legend of this sport, and has been the number one for many years. But I've always believed that maintaining the project with my partner is very important and that's how I keep it.

And he concluded:

-I will continue with my head set on the project with Momo, which is going very well. Why change something that will not only remain good but can be improved in the future?
