Anonymous hate messages sent to the Swede after controversial point
Sweden's best padel player has had anonymous aggressive messages sent to him. This after a disputed point in the final of last weekend's Team Championships in Sweden.
— It's very sad, but nothing I want to put any energy into, says Daniel Windahl to Padel Alto´s Swedish sister site, PadelDirekt.
It was a controversial score in the final that prompted the messages. Several people, including the opponents, thought he touched the ball.
When PadelDirekt reaches Daniel Windahl for a comment, he says:
— The total aftermath, I think, is enormously sad. But such things happen sometimes, and it is something I cannot control or concentrate on. I have moved on," he writes in a message to PadelDirekt.
He continues:
— We disagreed about an important point. I can't possibly judge the touch as I don't feel any touch of the ball. I trust myself one hundred percent there and don't feel any deviation in the bounce, and that's why I play on, he says.
Daniel Windahl and his team PadelCrew won the Swedish Championship.
