After matches postponed: how the semi-finals and final will be played
The Premier Padel's Mexico Major has been dominated by weather problems and postponed matches. But today the tournament is set to be decided.
It's been a messy week in Mexico weather-wise. Several matches have been postponed due to both high humidity and rain.
The quarterfinals of the Mexico Major were finished on Saturday, matches that should have been played on Friday. On local time in Mexico on Saturday evening, the semi-finals were to be played. Still, these, too, had to be postponed due to rain in Monterrey after Agustin Tapia and Sanyo Gutierrez led their match against Javi Garrido and Federico Chingotto by 2-0 in the third set.
The other semi-final is between Martin Di Nenno and Coki Nieto, who face Fernando Belasteguin/Arturo Coello. That match has not yet started.
That semi-final will start at 10:30 local time, while the match between Agustin Tapia/Sanyo Gutierrez, Federico Chingotto, and Javi Garrido will continue at 11.30.
The final will also be played today, kicking off at 15:00 local time.
