Tello and Navarro's joint project has already achieved its first success. In the final of the last Open of the WPT season, the couple won in three sets against Lima and Stupaczuk to become champions in Mexico.

In an unprecedented final, the newly formed pairing of Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello faced Pablo Lima and Franco Stupaczuk in Mexico. For Navarro and Tello, it was their first final as a couple, while Stupa and Lima were looking for their third title, proving why they are one of the best pairings of the year.

The match got off to a frenetic start, with both pairings holding their serve solidly until the tiebreak. There, the figure of Paquito emerged to turn the balance in favour of Navarro and Tello, who took the first set.

Lima and Stupa's comeback was not long in coming. The Argentinean-Brazilian duo came out of the second set like a gale, and in just 28 minutes got two breaks on their opponents' serve, to take the match to a decider in the third part.

In the final set the actions were even, but Navarro and Tello took advantage of their only break opportunity to win the set and the tournament. The final result was 7/6 1/6 7/5 for the newly formed pairing, who won their first title.

" I had a thorn in my side, I had to win a final, because the title I won with Fede we didn't play the match (Lima W.O). Today it was thanks to Paquito, he gets the best out of his teammates". Juan Tello said after winning his second WPT title.

Navarro and Tello became the sixth pair to win a title this season, proving that their joint project is a reality.

The World Padel Tour will be back in action in mid-December, when the best players of the season will meet in Barcelona for the Master Final.
