Arce and Dal Bianco win in Mexico to claim fifth title of the season
The number one couple of the APT circuit, Maximiliano Arce and Franco Dal Bianco, were crowned champions of the Torreon Open de Mexico, after beating Alfonso and De Pascual in three sets.
The Argentinians Arce and Dal Bianco managed to win the final of the last Open tournament of the APT season, becoming champions in Mexico.
The number one of the circuit, consolidated their leadership after beating in a vibrant final the recently formed couple of Gonzalo Alfonso and the young Star Juani De Pascual, who arrived full of confidence after having eliminated the couples 3 and 4 of the ranking.
Dal Bianco and Arce started the match by outplaying their rivals, and with an early break on their opponents' serve, they took the first set by 6/3. However, De Pascual and Alfonso came back and, after an even second part, they managed to win the set by 7/5 to level the score at 1-1.
In the decisive set, the number ones imposed their law, and after some physical problems of Gonzalo Alfonso, they had no difficulties to win the match and the tournament.
The final score was 6/3 5/7 and 6/3 for Dal Bianco and Arce to win their fifth title of the season.
"After so much effort, to be champions again is a great source of pride and joy. It was a very difficult tournament that brought out our most competitive version to hold on to the games." Said Maxi Arce.
This Thursday, the pair will return to action, facing the winner of the match between Rolla/Lopez and Araujo/Pascual, in the round of 16 of the APT Queretaro Master.
