BREAKING: ITF vote on trying to become the sport's global governing body
The International Tennis Federation is gathered in Glasgow today, Monday, for its annual general meeting. The agenda? Voting to become padel´s global governing body. Something the International padel federation has reacted strongly against.
"FIP stands prepared to take immediate and robust action," writes the FIP in a case at the Court of Arbitration for Sports.
There have been past conflicts between players in padel, such as the World Padel Tour, the Players' Association, and Premier Padel.
Now we may see a new actor in the sport. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) is voting today on padel's sole governing body and arbiter. The International Padel Federation currently holds the position.
