They win their first title of the season: "Thank you for believing in us"

The Sanchez Alayeto twins, won their first title of the season, after taking Marta Marrero and Claudia Fernandez, in the final of the Torrent Challenger.

Mapi and Majoo Sanchez Alayeto, crowned an impeccable week by becoming champions of the Torrent Challenger 2022.

The “Atomik” twins won in three sets against the circumstantial pair of the experienced Marta Marrero (39) and the very young Claudia Fernandez (16), who was playing her first professional final.

The match got off to a great start for the Sanchez Alayeto twins, who stormed to a 6-0 lead in the first set. Marrero and Fernandez responded by taking the second set in the tiebreak. But in the final part Majo and Mapi showed their best version again, leaving their rivals with no chance. The final result was 6/0, 6/7 and 6/1.

“Immensely happy with the week we had in Torrent! Thank you team for always believing in us and supporting us every day. This title belongs to all of us. Thank you FAMILY for accompanying us in the good and ”not so good" moments ," wrote the twins on their social networks.

After losing in the finals of Danish Padel Open, and the Albacete and Calanda Challengers, the twins thus win their first title of the season on Valencian soil.
