Franco Stupaczuk and Pablo Lima won history's first version of Egypt's Premier Padel. This after great drama, two tiebreaks were needed in the second and third sets to separate the teams.

The final was a real drama between two teams in excellent shape. After Alejandro Galan and Juan Lebron won the first with a clear 6-2 and showed that they are the best team in the world, Pablo Lima and Franco Stupaczuk came out as a different team for the second set.

The second and third sets required tiebreaks to separate the teams, where Stupaczuk and Lima showed strength and won both.

— In the first set we were overpowered, but then we started to play with many lobs and more defense, and we could find the opportunities. It's tough to win tournaments against the number ones, so we are incredibly pleased, says Pablo Lima to the broadcast after the match.

Franco Stupaczuk stepped up in the tiebreaks and showed coolness and great joy. The title means "Stupa," and Lima's second title at Premier Padel. The first came in Stupa's home country of Argentina.

May face each other in the World Cup

— I am very emotional, I thought I had touched the sky in Mendoza with my people, but now I feel that emotion again. I'm still unable to process it, but surely in a few hours, we will celebrate as we should, Stupa said.

Now the pair await the World Cup, with Franco Stupaczuk selected for Argentina and teammate Pablo Lima for Brazil. Their opponents Galan and Lebron represent Spain and can already take revenge on Lima and Stupaczuk next weekend.
