WPT will incorporate tennis technology for video reviews

World Padel Tour and the thorough data analysis and capture company Foxtenn have reached an agreement from the 2023 season to incorporate the services of the technology company into the circuit.

The WPT circuit and the developer of one of the most accurate video refereeing systems, Foxtenn, have presented a collaboration agreement to apply the technology to the circuit's video review for next season.

Foxtenn has extensive experience in the world of tennis. Its system has been approved and used in several ATP, WTA, ITF, and Grand Slam competitions.

With high-speed cameras and lasers scattered around the court, 2,500 images per second will be taken for maximum accuracy in determining the location of any ball bounces.

The idea of the circuit is to present the application of technology as one of the fundamental pillars of its "New" World Padel Tour. This modern video review system eliminates errors from the referee's decisions, decreasing the time required to give a verdict on controversial plays.
