WPT calls players´ meeting — will present the new World Padel Tour

The World Padel Tour gathers the players of the tour for a meeting. During the meeting, representatives from the tour will present the new World Padel Tour, with several changes for the upcoming season.

PadelData was the first to publish the news.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 18th October, in Menorca, where the Menorca Open will be played at the same time.

Earlier, World Padel Tour Deputy President Alex Corretja said that changes will be made in several areas in an interview with El Larguero on SER

— What we are trying to do is to present a new project, both to the men and to the women. It's not just an economic issue that will change a lot. But there will also be improvements in technology and assistance to the players, which I hope the players will appreciate. It is a huge effort, and I hope it will be recognized. The improvement will be amazing, he said.

The Men's Players Association has previously sided with Premier Padel and the International Padel Federation (FIP) in the dispute with the World Padel Tour.

The ladies have not taken a stand, and play exclusively on the World Padel Tour and have, therefore, not broken their contracts with the WPT. The players' contracts expire after next season.
