Argentina wins Gold at the South American Games in Asuncion

The Argentinian Padel team was crowned champion in the South American Games ODESUR 2022, held in Asuncion, Paraguay. Both the men's and women's teams managed to win the gold medal in the finals.

The Argentinian Padel team, under the orders of Gaby Reca, won the South American Games 2022 held in Paraguay. 

Both the men's and women's teams managed to get through the group phase without any problems, imposing their status as favourites, and finished the Championship undefeated.

Men's Category

The men's team, formed by Franco Dal Bianco and Juani De Pascual, managed to get through the group phase undefeated, and then beat the local team in three sets in the semifinals. In the final match, the Argentineans had no problems to beat the Brazilian team - composed by Cunha and Julianotti - by a convincing 6-2 6-4. 

The podium was completed by the Paraguayan team, who beat Chile 6-1 6-2 in the bronze medal match.

Women's Category

The Argentinians Ceci Reiter and Daiara Valenzuela also won the gold medal, after taking the final against Chile by 6-4 and 6-3. The match for third place was played between Brazil and Paraguay, with the Brazilian team taking the bronze medal.
