WPT Amsterdam in numbers: This many streamed the final

The World Padel Tour's Amsterdam Open was a great success. Nearly 20,000 spectators visited the arena during the tournament week. In addition, WPT-TV gained 15,000 new users. 

The first-ever WPT event in Amsterdam was a huge success. In total, nearly 20,000 came to watch padel, and over all five days of the tournament, the 2,500 seats were full. This is announced by the World Padel Tour in a press release. 

In addition, the tour announces that WPT-TV, the streaming app 15,000 new users during the week in the Netherlands.

The biggest audience on WPT TV was during the men's final, when 33,700 people streamed the final between Fernando Belasteguin/Arturo Coello and Franco Stupaczuk/Pablo Lima. ”

”A broken record during the Amsterdam Open 2022 was the one of average session length. Each viewer throughout the week watched for an average of 48,8 minutes every time they tuned in to a live broadcast, more than at any other tournament before and an average considerably higher than in other sports like football or basketball”, writes World Padel Tour. 

The Netherlands is the 16th different country to host WPT and the fifth country to make its debut in 2022.
