Gonzalo Rubio and Miguel Benitez part ways
The Spanish pairing of Gonzalo Rubio and Miguel Benitez will go their separate ways after finishing their participation in the WPT Amsterdam Open, just three months after they started playing together.
Despite their good results together, Gonzalo Rubio and Miguel Benitez will stop being a couple after the next Amsterdam Open, as confirmed by the duo on social networks. The decision would have been taken by Rubio, as he would have an offer to start "a new and exciting challenge".
The pair, who had started playing together at the beginning of July, achieved as best result to eliminate the number one couple in the world, Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan, in the round of 16 of the Malaga Open, just three weeks after starting their joint project.
Neither player has yet announced who their new teammates will be yet.
