Javi Garrido and Lucas Campagnolo were a tiebreak away from advancing to the semi-finals of the Madrid Master. Instead, it was a heavy loss.
— Athletes must know how to deal with the pressure daily, wrote Garrido on his social channels after the match.

Javi Garrido and Lucas Campagnolo are getting closer and closer to the very top of their level of padel. In Madrid, Lucho Capra and Maxi Sanchez stood in their way in the quarter-finals. The match went to a tiebreak, and there the more experienced players decided the match.

— Athletes must know how to deal with the pressure daily. I´m 21 years old, and I felt that feeling inside the track. Overwhelmed and without strength in my legs, a feeling of not wanting to be on the court.

The pair opened the season in the best possible way, reaching the final of the Miami Open. Since that, things have been more challenging. Until the Swedish Padel Open, where the pair went to the semi-finals, something that was close to repeating in the Madrid Master.

— I have come many times to this center (Caja Magica, Madrid), but always from the stands and as a child living with illusion to see the professionals. Today I had to suffer inside it, he wrote.

They were even match points away from winning the quarter-final at a packed Caja Magica in Madrid.

— I will have to learn to live with my nerves, he continues.

On Saturday, Lucho Capra and Maxi Sanchez lost their semi-final. The next tournament to take revenge for Javi Garrido and Lucas Campagnolo is the Amsterdam Open which starts already this week.
