The Padel World Championships are just over a month away. Now the International Padel Federation (FIP) is issuing a statement changing the host country.

The World Padel Championships will be held in Qatar starting on 31 October. Now the FIP goes public on its official website and changes the host country.

The new host country will be the United Arab Emirates, and the competition will be held in Dubai.

”As for its venue, due to some force majeure issues that prevented the Qatar Federation (QTF) from organizing the event on the planned dates, the Executive Board of FIP deliberated that the XVI edition of the World Padel Championships will be staged in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 31 October to 5 November 2022 and will be organized by the affiliate member UAEPA together with FIP”, FIP states in the letter.

They also write that it is the first World Cup with prize money. A total sum of €500,000 will be divided equally between the participating federations.

The European qualifiers will be held at the end of this month in Derby, England.
