Mar del Plata hosts the first APT Grand Master of the season

The first Grand Masters of the APT Circuit season kicks off this Wednesday. The city of Mar del Plata, Argentina, will host one of the most important events of the tour, with record prize money.

Argentina will host one of the top tournaments on the APT circuit: the first Grand Master of the season. The tournament will feature a large draw of 32 pairs and will award 140,000 dollars in prize money, a record amount for the tour. In addition to the prize money, the competition will award 2000 points for the winners (double that of an Open), 1200 points for the finalists and 720 for the semifinalists, a very important point for the ranking and the Final Master.

The preliminary rounds ended this Tuesday, and everything is set for the start of the main draw, which will be played in two locations. The secondary courts will be at Los Naranjos Club, while the main court will be placed at the Polideportivo Islas Malvinas, a stadium with a capacity for 8,000 spectators, where decisive rounds will be played.

The broadcast of all the matches played on centre court will start this Wednesday at 9:00 am (Local) on the APT Padel Tour YouTube channel - in Latin America and the Caribbean it will be broadcasted on Star+, while the semi-finals and final will be shown on ESPN-.
