After the ranking update, Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia officially become the number two pairing on the WPT circuit, overtaking Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno. The couple of Belasteguin and Coello also climb on the list.

Although it was something that could already be deduced with pure mathematics, it wasn't official yet. But after the update of the WPT ranking, the Argentinean couple Agustin Tapia and Sanyo Gutierrez have officially become number two on the circuit. The duo's excellent results and consistency have been key to overtaking Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno, who was relegated to third place.

The pair, who have not dropped out of the semi-finals all season, find themselves in a head-to-head battle for the number one spot in the 2022 Race with Lebron and Galan. Both pairs have five tournaments this season, but the number ones won two Master titles, giving them an advantage over their pursuers. Thanks to this update in the ranking, Sanyo and Tapia make sure they won't meet Lebron and Galan until a hypothetical final.

Another important change is that Fernando Belasteguin and Arturo Coello, who by dint of good results managed to climb two positions, moving up to 5th place, displacing Chingotto/Tello to 6th and Ruiz/Momo to 7th.

These changes will be implemented from the Madrid Masters onwards, as when the draw for the Swedish Open was made, the ranking had not yet been updated.

This is the ranking of the 8 seeded couples:

1. Galan/Lebron – 30180 Points

2. Tapia/Sanyo – 24730 Points

3- Paquito/Di Nenno – 23130 Points

4- Stupaczuk/Lima – 14390 Points

5- Bela/Coello – 12245 Points

6- Chingotto/Tello – 12080 Points
