Aguirre and Allemandi win their third title in La Rioja

Adrian Allemandi and Tolito Aguirre were crowned champions of the APT Open de La Rioja after beating the young Argentinians Sanchez Blasco and De Pascual in the final.

The most in-form couple of the APT circuit, Tolito Aguirre and Adrian Allemandi, won their third title of the season, after defeating the young Argentinean promises Maximiliano Sanchez Blasco and Juani De Pascual in the final of the APT of La Rioja, by 6/2 7/5. 

Aguirre and Allemandi played an almost perfect first set, Allemandi's solidity from the back court and Tolito's presence at the net didn't allow Sanchez and De Pascual to show their game. Although in the second set the match was more even, the number three pairing got the break in the last game to take the match.

In this way, and after beating Arce and Dal Bianco in the semifinals, "Tito" and "Tolito" are getting closer to the number one of APT. "The race for the number one position? We work quietly, we try to win more and more every day... at the end of the year we'll see..." Allemandi said when asked about it after the match.

This week the circuit will continue its tour of Argentina, with the Mar Del Plata Grand Master.
