The number one couple of the tournament, Miguel Yanguas and Jorge Nieto, were crowned champions of the WPT Bajo Aragon Challenger, after beating Lamperti and Sanz by 6/4 6/4.

This Sunday, for the final of the fourth WPT Challenger of the season, the couples one and three of the tournament faced each other in the final: Mike Yanguas and Coki Nieto vs Jon Sanz and Miguel Lamperti.

Yanguas and Nieto started the match in great form, breaking their opponents' serve to take the lead. The Sanz/Lamperti couple showed the wear and tear suffered in the semifinals, and after a short break in which Jon Sanz had to be treated due to the heat, the number ones took the opportunity to get the second break and take the set 6/4.

In the second part, Lamperti and Sanz started with a 3-0 lead, but Yanguas and Nieto were quick to respond. Through a strong game and neutralizing Lamperti's smash (which was being definitive due to the heat) Coki and Mike went on a run of 5 consecutive games to turn the set around and take the match by 6/4 6/4.

"I don't know what it is about this place that makes me play so well, we've had a great level all week. We are very happy to have achieved this title" said Coki Nieto, after defending the title won in 2021 with Adrian Allemandi as a partner.

After losing the final in Albacete and reaching the semi-finals of the last Malaga Open, Yanguas and Nieto won their long awaited first title of the season in Calanda.
