Official: New venue ready for APT — can accommodate 13,000 spectators
The tenth tournament of the year on the APT Padel Tour is now officially released. The venue will be Superdomo, with a capacity of 13,000 people in La Rioja in Argentina.
The APT La Rioja Open will be played between the 4th and 10th of September and will be the tour's tenth tournament of the season.
This was announced during a press conference at the Casa de La Rioja in Buenos Aires with the presence of the Governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela; the Minister of Development of the province, Alfredo Menem; as well as the players Pablo Barrera and the number ones of the APT ranking Maxi Arce and Franco Dal Bianco.
Alfredo Menem called on the fans to fill the Superdomo:
"Let's hope they enjoy this padel party in a Superdomo that has a capacity for almost 13,000 people and will surely be full".
Pablo Barrera also followed that line:
"We will have accessible tickets, the cheapest in Argentina, so let's hope everybody can enjoy players like Franco and Maxi."
There are 90,000 euros in prize money in the La Rioja Open, and it will award 1,000 APT ranking points for each of the champions.
