ANNONS

The Pro Padel League (PPL) will be launched in 2023. It will be the first professional padel league in North America and involve the United States and Canada.

The worldwide explosion of padel is becoming more apparent. Global court construction is experiencing exponential growth, which points to an imminent outbreak of the sport in North America.

This is the belief of the authorities in charge of the sport in North America, and together they will launch the first professional padel league for the USA and Canada.

Marcos Del Pilar, President of the United States Padel Association, states in a press release:

The PPL is the perfect new ecosystem for Padel to grow in North America and boost its exposure. I am extremely proud to be part of this huge step forward which will spread the magic of the sport."

Nancy Malone, president of Padel Canada, added:

"Padel is exploding worldwide, and most of Canada and the US are just waking up to this dynamic sport. The PPL will spread the excitement to new players and cities throughout the continent."

Nancy Malone and Marcos Del Pilar will have roles within the league itself: Marcos Del Pilar will act as league commissioner, and Nancy Malone will act as an advisor. The league will also include Cary Kaplan - Founder of Cosmos Sports & Entertainment - as Chief Commercial Officer.

Kaplan has a long history in the management and marketing of sporting events. With his experience, padel will be the next sport to explode in the United States.

”I have been part of the explosion of many sports in North America over the past 20 years, including Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, and Pickleball. I believe Padel is the next sport to erupt”, Kaplan states.

The PPL will kick off its regular season in the Spring of 2023 with at least six teams of four players per team. The PPL Cup Championship will follow the regular season.
