Historic record in Mendoza — so many came to watch

Premier Padel came to Argentina and Mendoza for the first time in history. Then, the all-time records for padel were broken. A total of 55,000 people attended the competition, the organization announced in a press release. 

On the final day of the Premier Padel P1 in Mendoza, a full house of 11,000 spectators was in attendance as two Argentines faced off. Franco Stupaczuk and the Brazilian Pablo Lima eventually won a dramatic final against Fernando Belasteguin and the Spaniard Arturo Coello. 

In total, a record of more than 55,000 spectators attended the Mendoza Premier Padel P1 this week. Premier Padel announces this in a press release. 

"What has happened these days in Argentina has marked a historic milestone for padel, as we attract more and more fans from all around the world – the energy and momentum of our sport are quite amazing. I believe that padel is rising to become one of the biggest sports on the planet – this is founded on putting the players at the heart of everything and having the best partners in world sport. This is only the first step: the best is yet to come, and I am sure it will be spectacular”, the President of FIP (the International Padel Federation) states in the press release. 

The next Premier Padel competition will be played in Mexico, specifically in the city of Monterrey. The dates are set for 28th November to 4th December.
