The legend splits with partner after a year together

Carolina Navarro and Eli Amatriain spent a year together, but now their collaboration is over. The pair have been in many quarter-finals during the season and, on a couple of occasions, pressured world champions Gemma Triay and Ale Salazar at the beginning of the season. 

Navarro and Amatriain started play in the middle of last season when Navarro left the long-going partnership with Cecilia Reiter. Their best result, however, is considered to be the loss in the final of the Alfafar WPT Challenger last October.

"I admire you, Eli. On and off the court. Thank you for this unforgettable year together, during which you have helped me grow as a person and a player. Those of us lucky enough to know you know that we will always hold you very close. A sporting stage ends after a great year together, and a new one begins,"' writes Carolina Navarro on her Instagram.

In a text message to Padel Alto´s Swedish sister site PadelDirekt, Carolina Navarro writes that she has not finalized a new partner yet.

The same goes for Eli Amatriain:

"I don't know what will happen or who will share the court with me, but I know that new challenges will come,"' she writes.

Their last match together was a sad story. 0-6, 1-6 against Tamara Icardo/Delfi Brea.
