ANNONS

The semifinals of the WPT Vienna Open promise some great matches. The best pairings of the tournament will face each other looking to become the first champions on Austrian soil.

In the women's draw, the surprise of the tournament, Claudia Jensen and Carla Mesa got their ticket to the semifinals after defeating Talavan/Araujo. This Saturday, they will face the world number two and recent champions of the Marbella Master, Sanchez and Josemaria, who reached the semis after defeating Osoro and Iglesias in two sets.

In the other semifinal, world number ones Gemma Triay and Ale Salazar, will face Delfi Brea and Tamara Icardo. Triay and Salazar got their pass after eliminating the Sanchez Alayeto twins in the quarter finals. Brea and Icardo reached the semifinals for the first time this season, beating Sainz and Marrero in two sets.

In the semifinal they will face Belasteguin and Coello, who played an impeccable match to beat by 6/0 and 6/2 to the number 4 of the ranking, Chingotto and Tello.
