After three weeks of recovery, Majo Sanchez Alayeto was forced to withdraw from the Marbella Master 2022 after suffering a relapse in her calf injury.

In the morning session, at Round of 32 in World Padel Tours Marbella Masters, the Alayeto twins faced the duo of Claudia Jensen and Carla Mesa. At the end of the first set, young Claudia Jensen with Carla Mesa dominated 6-1  — Majo suffered a relapse in her calf injury and was forced to withdraw from the tournament.

"We tried, but it didn't work out. We are still recovering the calf from being as soon as possible in full condition and from being able to perform at 100% in the competition. Thanks to everyone for the messages of encouragement and your love," wrote the twins on their joint Instagram account.

In the Round of 16 in the Brussels Open, Majo suffered an injury in her right calf, which kept her away from the courts for the last three weeks.

Her twin Mapi Sanchez Alayeto played alongside Sofia Araujo at the Danish Open. While in the last Challenger of Mallorca, the "Atomik twins" had not signed up, waiting for Majo to recover to face the first Master of the season entirely.

In this way, Carla Mesa and Claudia Jensen made it to the last sixteen. On Thursday, they will face the couple of Marina Guinart and Noa Canovas.
