They won the Mallorca Challenger

The favorites, Marta Marrero and Lucia Sainz, are the champions of the WPT Mallorca Challenger. In the final, they defeated Alix Collombon and Jessica Castello in three sets.

Marrero and Sainz faced Collombon and Castello in the Women's Final of the WPT Mallorca Challenger. In a changing match, Marta and Lucia managed to impose their rhythm, winning the game in three sets after more than two hours. The match started better for the French/Spanish couple, who managed to take the first set 6-4. But from the second set onwards, it was all for the top-ranked couple; Marrero and Sainz came out all guns blazing, taking the following two sets 6-1 6-1.

"We are very happy to have been able to play in the final against some of our teammates with whom we train together every day. We know each other's strengths and weaknesses, so it was an even match. I congratulate them for the great tournament they have done. We are very happy to get this first title, which we needed". Marta Marrero said after the match

For Marrero and Sainz, it means the first title of the season. The couple, number 5 on the WPT ranking, had achieved the best result of the season, reaching semi-finals in 4 tournaments this year.
