The legend splits with partner as seventh-ranked couple
After the break-ups of the couples Allemandi/Torre and Quiles/Julianoti at the beginning of the week, Cristian Gutierrez Albizu and Maximiliano Sanchez have also decided to separate their ways after the Cape Town Master.
The 43-year-old experienced player Cristian Gutierrez Albizu, and the young promise of padel Maximiliano Sanchez, have decided to separate their paths after not achieving the expected goals.
The couple, current number 7 on the APT Padel Tour ranking, had achieved the best result of the season, reaching the quarter-finals in the last master in South Africa. While in the three remaining tournaments, they fell in the round of 16 in Buenos Aires and Asuncion and the round of 32 at the Monaco Masters.
"I wanted to tell you that Cristian and I will be parting ways after this APT Cape Town Master. I am really grateful to have shared all these tournaments with you. As I told you privately, you were a great partner and someone I learned a lot from. I take with me the best memories, and I always wish you the best! As for me, I'm already thinking about what's. Next, I'll communicate with whom I'll be playing the next tournaments!" Maximiliano Sanchez said on his Instagram.
The 19-year-old promising youngster, current number 13 in the APT ranking, has not officially announced it. Still, he is registered for the next Seville Masters alongside 17-year-old Argentine Juan Ignacio De Pascual.
For his part, Gutierrez has not yet made any statement on the matter, so it is not known with whom he will play in the next tournament.
