After the Cape Town Master — break-ups in the APT top 10
After the Master of South Africa, new farewells between couples in the APT circuit were announced. Brazilian Julio Julianoti and Argentine Federico Quiles, have decided to end their partnership after not getting the expected results. In addition, Allemandi and Torre also separate their ways after only 2 tournaments together.
The number 5 couple of the APT circuit, Julianoti and Quiles, have separated after the Cape Town Master. The pair, who started playing together this season, did not get the expected results, falling in the quarterfinals of the four tournaments played. The Brazilian, number 6 in the APT ranking, announced it on his social networks.
“Thanks Fede! Today we split up so that both of us can try to have better sensations on the court. In the apt padel tour CAPE TOWN we fell in the quarterfinals against Yain and Miguel. Undoubtedly one of the best tournaments in which I have participated with a beautiful structure, we always receive great support. Congratulations apt padel tour! Thanks to my followers, we keep going strong!”
The couple that also decided to change course, is the experienced Adrian Allemandi (41) and Agustin Torre. The Argentine pair, who started playing for the European tour, only lasts two tournaments together; reaching the semi-finals in Monaco and the last sixteen in South Africa.
Torre, had just separated from "Tolito" Aguirre, looking for a change of scenery.
While for his part, the former WPT player hasn't achieved the expected results since his arrival on APT tour. It is worth remembering that Allemandi is not at 100% physically, as he is not fully recovered from his injury since the Buenos Aires Open.
“Congratulations to Maxi and Franco for yesterday's level! Thank you Agustin Torre for these 2 tournaments played and good luck in what's to come! APT Padel Tour: one of the best scenarios of my life to play padel, congratulations! It's time to disconnect for a few days, finish healing the injury and above all think and analyse, to correct these bad results that are coming out” Said Allemandi in his Instagram.
It is not yet known who they will play with for the rest of the season. The next APT tournament will be played in the city of Seville, from the 16th to the 22nd of May.
