BREAKING: Super stars split· ”Disharmony on the court”

ANNONS

Since the beginning of last season, they have been a couple and have become the fourth-best team in the world. Now Franco Stupaczuk surprisingly announces that he and Alex Ruiz are breaking up.
”It's been a tough season, and although we've had good results, there's disharmony on the court”, writes Stupa on his Instagram.

Franco Stupaczuk and Alex Ruiz's partnership is over. Stupa announced the surprising news on his Instagram on Monday.

The separation comes as a big surprise to many. Last Saturday, the world number four couple came close to a final in the Alicante Open when they lost in the third set to Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno in the semi-final.

”After a year and a few months that we have been training, competing, traveling, and fighting together for every ball, it's time to say goodbye to the Stupa-Ruiz couple,” writes Franco Stupaczuk on his Instagram.

Last December, the pair won a title in the Mexico Open. They also won the 2021 Sardinia Open.

The team also reached three finals in 2021. This season, the team has gone to three semi-finals, the World Padel Tours Vigo Open and the Alicante Open. But also in the first tournament of the Premier Padel, the Qatar Major.

”I know many people may have become attached to our game, but it's been a tough season, and although we've had good results, there's disharmony on the court, off it, we get on very well.”  writes Stupa.

Ruiz: ”I will keep all the good things”

Alex Ruiz published later on Monday:

”This is the sport, and we must respect it! I will keep all the good things, what we have created, what we have learned from each other. I will always remember the chemistry, the fight. But above all, the union in critical moments reflected on the court and that is so difficult to achieve.”

Neither Franco Stupaczuk nor Alex Ruiz has announced who they will play with.

Padel Alto is currently seeking both players for a comment.
