Lebron and Galan lost two games — easily to the final

Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan thrive in Alicante. Last year they dropped only four games in the final. This year they have been at least as convincing. In the semi-final against Agustin Tapia and Sanyo Gutierrez, they lost only two games, 6-1, 6-1. 

Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan chase their first title of the season. And the pair have shown their class during the week in Alicante. 

In the semi-finals, they won 6-1, 6-1 against Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia in a match that lasted only one hour. 

— We always get a lot of support here. This is unique, said Juan Lebron to the broadcast after the match. 

That means Juan Lebron has the chance to win his third straight title in Alicante tomorrow. In 2019 he won with Paquito Navarro, in 2020 with Alejandro Galan. And in 2021, Galan/Lebron went without losing a set at the Alicante Open, winning the final by a clear 6-0, 6-4 over Alex Ruiz and Franco Stupaczuk. 

— We know how difficult it is to win a tournament, but we will try tomorrow, said Alejandro Galan. 

Tomorrow the pair will face the winner of the meeting between Paquito Navarro / Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk / Alex Ruiz. That match will be played this afternoon.
