Spain double World Champions in Las Vegas

Both Men's and Women's Spanish senior padel teams, were crowned World Champions after beating Argentina and Italy in the final.

The World Senior Padel Tournament held last week in the USA came to an end on Sunday. The tournament, organised by the USPA in conjunction with FIP, brought together in Las Vegas the senior teams over 35 years of age, from 18 countries around the world.

In the national team category, it was Spain who once again became champion; as in 2018, they defeated Argentina (men) and Italy (women) in the final.

In the men's category, Spain beat Argentina 3-0; winning the +55 category 6-3 6-2, the +50 category 6-2 6-3, and the +45 category 6-2 7-6, thus becoming champions.

Meanwhile, in the women's division, Spain won the three points needed to be crowned champions, beating Italy with authority by 3-0. It was, 6-2 6-1 in +45 years, 6-0 6-0 in +40 years, and 6-3 6-1 in +35 years.

In both categories, the match for third and fourth place was played between France and Sweden. The winner was France in the women's category and Sweden in the men's category, thus completing the podium.

+45 - Corbelli/Potron (France)

+50 - Valle/Gattiker (Argentina)

+55 - Serafino/Bartolini (Italy)
