The Lucky Losers does it again — beats out Sanyo: ”Beating him is like being in a dream”

Yesterday's big surprise was Ignacio "Nacho" Vilarino and Jose Luis Gonzalez that knocked out Javi Leal and Miguel Semmler. Today, they struck again and won against world star Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Gutierrez in two straight sets. 
— Beating him (Sanyo) is like being in a dream, says Jose Luis Gonzalez after the match. 

Two straight sets yesterday were followed by as many today. Doha's big hit pair Nacho Vilarino and Jose Luis Gonzalez won 6-4, 7-6 against Sanyo Gutierrez with his temporary partner and nephew, Agustin Gutierrez. 

After the match, two humble players faced Padel Alto. 

— Sanyo is a thousand times better than us, but these conditions (referring to the wind) help the less favored couples. Surely if we faced him 100 times, he would beat us 99 times, but today we won, Gonzalez says. 

”Beating him is like being in a dream”

The two players have never been in the main draw on the World Padel Tour and are ranked 116 and 104 respectively. 

— We still don't believe it, playing against Sanyo is incredible, beating him is like being in a dream, says Gonzalez.

They also take the opportunity to pay tribute to the organizers of the Qatar Major, the first of the Premier Padel competitions. 

— I'm very happy with the organization of the tournament. They’ve treated us like kings from the start. I want to thank my partner who played really well, says Vilarino.

Tomorrow the pair of Javi Rico and Momo Gonzalez meet in the Qatar Majors Round of 16.
