Promising newcomers beat Restivo/Ramos in the final of the APT Future

ANNONS

Facundo Lopez (18) and Lautaro Mambrini (17) surprised at the APT Future of Buenos Aires, beating Juan Restivo and Diego Ramos, the last champions, by 6/4 6/3.

Lopez and Mambrini had already been the sensation in the semifinals after defeating the top seeds, Chozas and Cejas, 6/3 7/6. Juan Restivo and Diego Ramos reached the final after beating Reiter-Gonzalez 6/2 6/1 in the semifinals.

The match started evenly, but the impetus and youth of Lopez and Mambrini were imposed, taking the first set 6/4.

In the second set, the young stars began greatly, imposing their rhythm and taking a 4-0 lead. But Restivo and Ramos didn't give up and took the match to 4-3 with a break. Finally, in the golden point of the eighth game, the advantage went to Mambrini and Lopez, who closed the set 6/3 with their serve, thus preventing Diego Ramos and Juan Restivo from winning the second consecutive Future after winning the Asuncion one.

Thanks to this victory, the couple will reach the APT Buenos Aires Master (in addition to the APT points and the prize money).

In this way, Mambrini closed the week with two titles, as he had also been crowned champion - Ramiro Valenzuela - in the Buenos Aires APT Junior played at the beginning of the week.
