Martin Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro managed to reach the semi-finals for the first time this season after being knocked out in the quarter-finals of the Miami and Reus tournaments. In a perfect quarter-final, they lost only one game.

Martin Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro were trying to find the level that took them to fight for the number one position of the ranking in 2021.

The match began with the number two pair dominating, with a brilliant Martin Di Nenno. Di Nenno and Navarro broke all the serves from Lucho Capra and Javi Ruiz to take the first set 6-0 in just 29 minutes.

In the second set, the match trend was the same, with Di Nenno and Navarro as absolute owners of the match. Di Nenno continued being the protagonist, playing very solidly, while Ruiz and Capra couldn't find a way to damage their opponents. Finally, in a true exhibition of padel, the number two took the match by 6-0/6-1 in just 58 minutes of play.

They will face the couple number 4 seeded, Franco Stupaczuk and Alex Ruiz, who defeated Belasteguin and Coello in the semifinals.

— We did everything right, and they didn't have a good day. It's not the real difference between us. We will try to repeat last year's final in Vigo, which was my first," Di Nenno said after the match.

— It's the best game I've seen Martin play. I was amazed. We are happy to play the semifinals once again. We were looking forward to playing one more this season," said Paquito.
