Icardo chooses the newcomer padel brand — here is her new sponsor

Tamara Icardo surprised many when she announced last week that she and Head were going their separate ways. Now she's ready to join newcomer Macron Padel. 

The world's seventh-best padel player chose to leave sponsor Head Padel last week after four years together.  

”Thank you very much for having accompanied me and for having shared very special moments of my career with you. I wish you all the best”, wrote Tamara Icardo in an Instagram post. 

On Monday, the bombshell came about which brand she will play with in the future. It will be newcomer Macron Padel, an Italian brand that is more associated with sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, and handball. 

”We are eager to begin this journey together,” writes the brand in a Twitter post. 

The star has been injured for the first two World Padel Tour tournaments after a hand injury she sustained during the Swedish Padel Open in November.

For the Vigo Open, which starts this week, she will debut with the new Macron racket alongside her partner Delfi Brea.
