Las Vegas set to host Senior World Padel Championship: ”Could not be more excited”

After the Miami WPT Open, the USA will host the Senior World Championship in Las Vegas at the end of March.

The Senior World Championship 2022 will be held in Las Vegas from 28th March to 2nd April. This event, which had already been canceled twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will be the biggest padel event ever held in North America. 

This tournament, organized by USPA with the support of FIP and APF, will feature more than 500 players (over 35) from all over the world, both men and women. There will be 32 teams participating, and 19 nationalities will be represented.

— I could not be more excited to bring the best players in the world to Las Vegas and showcase the beautiful sport of Padel to the USA and the entire world. This event will celebrate competition, athletic ability, and international friendship, Marcos Del Pilar, President of the United States Padel Association, says. 

The participating countries are 

  • Spain, 
  • Argentina, 
  • Italy, 
  • Mexico, 
  • Chile, 
  • Uruguay, 
  • Brazil, 
  • Belgium, 
  • USA (host country), 
  • Canada (North America qualified) -only masculine-, 
  • Australia (Asia-Oceania qualified), 
  • Germany, 
  • Great Britain, 
  • Denmark, 
  • Ireland, 
  • France, 
  • Sweden, 
  • The Netherlands - only feminine.
