World number eight Tamara Icardo is back in action after her hand injury.
The Valencian star, who missed the first two WPT tournaments, announces this via her social channels.

"I'm happy to tell you I'm back," she writes on Instagram.

Tamara Icardo, who, along with her partner Delfi Brea was responsible for one of last season's biggest breakthroughs, has missed the previous three WPT tournaments, including the Masters final in Madrid in December, due to a wrist injury. After surgery and lengthy rehabilitation, which also saw her miss WPT Miami and WPT Reus, she is now back and ready to play.

"After months of hard work and rehabilitation, I'm getting back to doing what I love most. Infinite thanks to all my family, my boyfriend, my friends, and of course my team who have supported me and helped me during this working period,"' she writes.

Tamara Icardo and Delfi Brea had a fantastic 2021, taking two WPT titles in a total of four finals. She also took gold at both the World Championships and the European Championships with Spain.

The next WPT event will be played in Vigo from 21-27 March.
