Nieto and Yanguas to the semi-finals: ”Best match ever”

ANNONS

Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas had their best game ever, according to the players themselves, knocking out Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno in the Reus Open quarter-final.
— It was a perfect match, to beat Paco and Martin you have to play like this, says the player of the match, Coki Nieto after.

The scores were 6-4, 6-4 and now the young pair are chasing their first-ever final on the World Padel Tour.

Last year, Coki Nieto reached the semi-finals of the Malmo Padel Open in Sweden together with Tito Allemandi. Mike Yanguas was also in a semi-final last year, the one played in Mexico with his then partner Miguel Lamperti.

— It was a perfect match, to beat Paco and Martin you have to play like thisWe had very few mistakes, we were aggressive in attack and solid in defense. I'm not characterized by a finishing shot, but I am a fighter… that's my essence and that's the way I'll stay until the end of my career. Coki said to Padel Alto.

Both agreed that it was their best match ever.

— It was an incredible match, we believed in ourselves and we managed to win. What normally happens with a couple like Paco and Martin is, that if you go 4-2 down, they end up winning the match. But we had faith in our game and that's what made the difference today, said Mike Yanguas to Padel Alto

Tomorrow the pair face Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia who dropped a set to Miguel Lamperti and Jon Sanz earlier in the day.

The second semi-final will be played between Juan Lebron / Alejandro Galan and Juan Tello / Federico Chingotto.
