APT relaunches the ”Fabrice Pastor Cup”
APT will incorporate the Junior category into its events this year. The tournament in this category will be played under the name “Fabrice Pastor Cup.”
The “Fabrice Pastor Cup” circuit was presented in 2015 by Montecarlo Internacional Sports. It started in Argentina and then spread to Chile, Paraguay, Brazil, France, and Portugal. In 2022, the “Fabrice Pastor Cup” will be relaunched as a name for the APT junior tournaments to help the youngest players develop a professional career in padel.
The "Fabrice
Pastor Cup" will be played the week before the "Majors" in two
days, and the draw will have only 16 couples. The organization said that
players who are within the top 100 of the APT ranking (even if they meet the
age requirement) would not participate. The debut of this cup will
be at the next tournament in Asunción, in Paraguay, on March 7th.
The champions of the first event in Paraguay will receive as a prize an all-expense-paid trip to an APT Padel Tour tournament and a Wild Card for the main draw of the Future 1000 of Asuncion.
