Padel fever in Belgium — 12.000 tickets sold in a week

ANNONS
For the first time ever, a World Padel Tour Open tournament is coming to Belgium and Brussels. And there is padel fever in the country. After just one week, the organizers announced that 12,000 tickets had been sold.

The organizers of the World Padel Tour have the ambition to attract 50,000 visitors and 3,000 VIPs.

And so far, it looks good.

"We have already sold more than 12.000 tickets in one week via our World Padel Tour ambassadors in 250 padel clubs in Belgium and more than 1.200 VIPs via our sponsors and companies. I invite everyone to come and enjoy the world-class padel that will be played at a level never seen before in Belgium, says Vincent Laureyssens, President of the organizing committee of the Brussels Padel Open of the World Padel Tour, to the newspaper Sudinfo

To add spice to this Open for the Belgian public, 2 Wild Cards will be awarded to the best Belgian players for the final draw. The most prominent Belgian player is Helena Wyckaert, who last made it to the main draw of the Menorca Open 2021.

Now she will be joined by three other Belgian players if Wyckaert is chosen as one of the Wild Cards.

The tournament will be played at Tour & Taxis in Brussels between 3 and 8 May.
