The star forced to withdraw from the Miami Open

The Spanish player Marta Marrero will be out for the start of the 2022 season due to an injury.

 The player from the Canary Islands, current number 10 in the WPT ranking, will not be able to play the first WPT tournament of the season due to an injury.

 Marta and her partner, Lucia Sainz, would have started as fourth seeded. Now the couple is out of the tournament, the women's draw of the Miami Open 2022 has been redefined, and the benefited couple has been that of Carmen Castillon and Melania Merino, who will be in the main draw.
