Angela Caro announces her retirement as a professional player
The Spanish player Angela Caro has announced her farewell as a professional player.
The 36-year-old player from Zaragoza has decided to leave the professional padel. This announcement has surprised everyone since Angela was currently ranked number 46th in the WPT ranking. Even this season, she continued as a leading main draw player without starting in the previous rounds. In fact, in her last tournament, she began as couple 19th, along with her partner Arantxa Soriano Pérez.
Through her Instagram account and a passionate video, Angela expressed her gratitude to all the people who accompanied her in
her professional career.
“Thank you to each and every one of the people who have walked this path with me, always trusting and supporting whatever my decision was. Family, friends, THANK YOU for pushing me, cheering me up, and for always being there, I love you!” Angela said on her social networks.
And she continues: “Embarking on new paths always involves a farewell. Here ends my stage in professional padel. A beautiful stage that I will always keep in my heart.”
