She is the new president of the IPPA — here are the three options for the upcoming women´s tour
A few weeks ago Padel Alto wrote that the women's association IPPA, International Padel Players Association, was formed. Now more information has arrived.
You can now see who is acting president of the newly formed association on their site. Lucia Sainz will charge the women's association, with world number one Gemma Triay as vice-president.
In addition, the site PadelSpain today published information about three different proposals from different actors who want to organize the future women's tour. All the proposals on the table will mean a substantial increase in prize money for the ladies.
With the current organizers, World Padel Tour, the Open tournaments would go from just over 37,000€ to more than 110,000€ in 2024. In the Master Final, the figure would rise from the current 48,000€ to more than 210,000€ from 2024 onwards.
The FIP and QSI circuit would be the same as that received by the boys, with a little less in the Master Final. It means 120,000 € but with considerably more money in two of the events that would be called Grand Slam, up to 525,000 €.
According to PadelSpain, a third player is also involved in organizing the women's tour of the future. It is the so-called Next Gen Events.
This bet would mean that the women players get 50% of the circuit. The organizers would get 35% and sponsors 15%. In addition, they would reach 500,000 euros in the Grand Slam (Master events) and up to one million euros in the Final Master.
