Super talent back with his old partner — climbed 100 places in the rankings last year

ANNONS
Javi Leal and Miguel Semmler made it from the Pre-Previa to the main round of the World Padel Tour last year. Halfway through the season, Leal chose to leave Semmler. For the new season, they are now back together again.

The pair who started the season in the Pre-Previas was last year's big standouts at the start of the season. The team made it into the main round for the first time already in the second tournament of the Alicante Open.

For a team to start in Pre-Previa, you need to win three matches there. Then three more matches in Previa, then it's the main round. This is in two to three days. In the Vigo Open, the team broke through and went to the quarterfinals, and the team established itself in 2021 as a team in the main round.

However, in the middle of the season, the 18-year-old Javi Leal decided to break off the partnership with the older Miguel Semmler. Instead, he chose to play with Josete Rico.

But now, the pair are back together for the 2022 season.

”Super excited to work and compete together again,” he writes.

And continues:

”We will give it all, and we will fight at every point to be the best version of ourselves and enjoys every game.”

Both are currently training pre-season at the M3 academy in Madrid. Javi Leal accounted for the year's achievement in the rankings last year. He moved up 100 positions, from 136 at the start of the season to his current position at number 36 in the world.
