The legend continues — playing with Sanyo's nephew in 2022
Juan Martin Diaz, 46, is not going to quit. The legend yesterday announced a new partner. He will play with none other than Sanyo Gutierrez's nephew Agustin Gutierrez.
The pair announced their partnership yesterday. "JMD," as the former world number one is called, writes on Instagram:
"Done. Thank you, Agustin Gutierrez, for agreeing to play with me this year. I'll try to do my best. Hopefully, it will be a good year," he writes.
Agustin Gutierrez is ranked number 44 in the world, Juan Martin Diaz is number 25.
Most recently, Juan Martin Diaz played with Pablo Lijo. He is expected to announce his new partner soon, according to Padel Alto, he will pair up with Uri Botello in 2022.
Agustin Gutierrez's best result was in the Marbella Masters where he managed to win against his two nephews, Sanyo Gutierrez and Christian Gutierrez, and make it to a quarter-final with Javi Martinez.
