Triay and Salazar win their fifth straight title

ANNONS

Alejandra Salazar and Gemma Triay were in trouble in the final. But the turnaround came, and the queens of the World Padel Tour won the title for the fifth time in a row.  There is no doubt that Salazar/Triay is the best pair of 2021.

The final result of the Cordoba Open final against Ari Sanchez/Paula Josemaria was 6-7, 6-4, 6-4. A final with a first set that probably had the highest quality of any set of the year on the women's side of the World Padel Tour.

The decider came when Ari Sanchez made a mistake at 4-4 in the deciding set. The Spaniard gave away a couple of points, and of course, that doesn't hold in that situation, not against the WPT queens Salazar/Triay. The break at 5-4 came, and a few minutes later came the cheer that proclaimed the pair's fifth straight title.

Triay and Salazar have now won an incredible eight tournaments out of a possible fourteen this season on the World Padel Tour.
