Menorca draw complete — Sanyo and Bela could face each other in quarter-finals

ANNONS
Fernando Belasteguin and Sanyo Gutierrez's split has been the most significant topic of conversation in the padel world lately. Many have asked when the two icons will face each other. The answer could be as early as next week in the Menorca Open.

The draw for the Menorca Open is out. The most exciting thing on the men's side is that Sanyo Gutierrez, with his new partner Agustin Tapia, could face his old partner Fernando Belasteguin and Arturo Coello in a quarter-final.

In an interview with Padel Alto published earlier today, Sanyo Gutierrez talked about his relationship with Fernando Belasteguin:

— Our relationship, and I speak for myself, will continue to be as it is today. He is neither my best friend nor my worst enemy, he said.

Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia enter the tournament as third-seeded and are over the first round. Fernando Belasteguin and Arturo Coello enter the tournament as sixth-seeded and therefore go into the first round. The top four teams can skip the first round of an Open tournament.

An exciting match from the first round is Miguel Yanguas / Miguel Lamperti and the newly composed pair Javi Ruiz / Pablo Lima.

On the women's side, it is notable that Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, who have been eliminated in two quarter-finals, may once again face a formidable opponent in the quarter-finals. If Delfi Brea and Tamara Icardo do their job in the previous matches, we will have an exciting game between the teams.
